California Dreamin'

I've always hated Valentines Day....
but when you spend it like this:
 (look down)
how can you have a bad day?

Let me tell you, Mickey is the BEST Valentine!

Travis's brother works at Disneyland
so he made it possible for us to escape the cold
Utah weather and enjoy "love day"
in the happiest place on earth.

My favorite part?
Well, besides the little girls in princess dresses,
and the rush of California Screamin'
and the skipping down Main Street to Hello Dolly
(total happiness right there)
and the fireworks....
I would have to say that Dole Whip
pretty much makes Disneyland :)

I have not been since Cars Land opened.
It was super cool!
And the ride was amazing!!
You pretty much have to fast pass it within the first half hour
of the park opening because the lines are SOOOO long.
but we got four fast passes
so we got to go on it twice and it was so cool!
It is such a clever ride!

So pretty much Disneyland was spectacular
and I actually liked Valentine's Day this year.
Since we were already in California
we decided to take advantage of the three day weekend
and stay until the last possible second.
I mean...85 degree weather!!!

We spent Saturday cruising around in
Travis's parent's new [old] car!

and I finally bought rainbow sandals
(I have wanted some for years now)
((Ever since BYU lax camp before my sophomore year of high school))

And we spent some quality time at my favorite beach
New Port just has a lot of good memories for me
and more were made this day!

Plus we saw dolphins!!!
and I LOVE dolphins

Monday was Presidents Day.
We decided to explore LA a little.
I got to take a trip down memory lane
and visit my old elementary school/apartment complex/church building
It was really neat to go back!
#cloverkidforever

Then we walked around the temple grounds for a while.
It is such a beautiful building!
And it amazes me how you can be driving through the city
(I hate cities)
and all of a sudden BOOM!
House of the Lord, you know??

And we ate.
Well...I ate.
I am not really sure you can consider Travis's
snacking eating.
But not only did I eat the amazing ice cream sandwich
from Diddy Riese
but I also had three taquitos and five tacos
and a bag of cheetos....
and maybe some other things too...
like a tres leches...

I WAS HUNGRY!!

And I got to meet some of Travis's friends!
And I LOVE meeting new people.

So....
Ya it was pretty much a magical weekend!
We took so many pictures and so many videos
so I could make movie of our trip
(which I did and will share shortly)

I just wanted to run away and never come back to Provo.
But we did.
And life has been pretty great lately :)
